Elizabeth Brokamp, PhD, LPC, NCC, ACS, BC-TMH, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Counseling Program at Saint Joseph's University. Dr. Brokamp works remotely from Northern Virginia where she maintains a part-time online private practice that informs and energizes her teaching and supervision. In addition to private practice, she has experience in community mental health, as well as school counseling. Dr. Brokamp's clinical experience and specialties include working with women and treating anxiety, depression, and reproductive trauma. Her research interests include online and trauma-informed pedagogy in counselor education, gatekeeping, mental health, aging, and ageism, the relationship between chronic health conditions and trauma, and the study of social systems.

- Supervised the Fieldwork Coordinator.
- Served as SME for (10) online courses for CMHC and School Counseling concentrations, including Multicultural Counseling and Social Justice, Assessment, Ethics, Special Topics Residency, and Internship courses in both Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling tracks.
- Implemented a new summer residency model for the program, including developing a Special Topics Residency course as the SME.
- Hired and onboarded new program adjuncts.
- Authored Section 1 of the program’s CACREP self-study and self-study Addendum.
- Served as program’s CACREP Liaison, 2021 - 2023.
- Participated in the program’s CACREP site visit, May 2024, with 8-year accreditation awarded in August 2024.
- Served as NBCC Liaison, 2021 - 2023.
- Served as faculty mentor for half the program’s CMHC students and for 2-4 adjunct faculty in CMHC.
- Responsible for leading efforts to evaluate and assess students and manage student remediation processes, up to and including dismissal.
- Revised student handbook, including remediation policies and procedures.
- Participated in two search committees for core faculty positions.

- Created department newsletter and wrote, edited, and produced two editions per year.
- Created a Canvas group for department and professional information, which is utilized as an information repository for all students in the Counseling program.
