Wendell completed their MA in English literature during the first semester affected by the pandemic. They then came to the Philadelphia area to be with their partner, who was continuing into an English PhD (at a now rival institution not to be named). Wendell has a background in teaching and an on again/off again history in Catholic education going from Pre-K to college. They held their wedding during the conveniently, intentionally memorable time of Memorial Day weekend 2022 in California wine country. Barring unexpectedly inheriting the old family place out there in Berkeley, they are loving and looking to commit to Philadelphia. As a devotee of health, sports, and recreation generally, they are especially happy to be brushing up with the culture of Physical Therapy and look forward to being a positive, stable force in the days ahead for the be-“deviled” hawks of St. Joe's.
