Tom is a Visiting Instructor Professor at Saint Joseph’s University presenting courses in the Undergraduate and Graduate studies in the University College of Arts and Sciences. Tom served as a consultant with the Philadelphia healthcare practice of Resources Global, Independent Consultant to the Lehigh Valley Health System, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Maxis Health System in Northeast Pennsylvania and Chief Financial Officer in several healthcare organizations in the Greater Philadelphia area.
He served with the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division and the 173rd Airborne Brigade in South Viet Nam where he was awarded the Bronze Star for service.
Some of his past accomplishments in healthcare finance have been the development and implementation of 3rd party reimbursement strategies, redesign and installation of operating and capital budget models, financial reporting techniques at the department and board levels, treasury management review programs and organizational structure development within revenue cycle teams with a focus on high performance outcomes.
Tom is a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association and a Past President of the Philadelphia Chapter of HFMA (91-92). He has been an active member of HFMA and has been awarded The Founders series awards, Benjamin Franklin Award, The Annual Achievement Award and The Soon W. Lee Education Award.
Tom is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He also holds a Master’s Degree with a concentration in Accounting from LaSalle University
