I have had a long and varied career as a RN, beginning in 1974. After working in acute care, obstetrics and childbirth education, long term care and home health care, my most recent nursing position was as a RN consultant for Lancaster County Office of Aging for 22+ years. I retired from that position in 2019 and was delighted to begin working PT as a standardized patient in the Saint Joseph's Simulation Lab, using my nursing knowledge to contribute to the education of the next generation of nurses.
I am married to H. Dale Kaufman, also retired. We have an adult daughter and son and 2 grandchildren who bring us much joy and many smiles. We are active in our church, and in our free time enjoy beach and mountain cabin vacations, walking and reading.
