Dr. Shawn Parmanand received his BA in General Studies from Idaho State University and went on to earn his Master’s in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling and his PhD in Counselor Education and Counseling from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.
Dr. Parmanand enjoys teaching courses in clinical mental health counseling and family counseling, with a particular focus on relationship-building and applied counseling skills. He has worked as a licensed clinical professional counselor for over 15 years, providing individual, couples, and family counseling, and has also supervised counselors in training. His areas of clinical and research interest include gatekeeping, remediation and online pedagogy.
