Professor Kellett has been a practicing emergency medicine physician assistant since 2015. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, she worked clinically as a registered dietitian. Interestingly, it was during her training to become a registered dietitian that she was first truly exposed to the physician assistant profession and decided to pursue this as a new career path. Since graduating with her MSPAS from Philadelphia University (now Thomas Jefferson University, East Falls), she has been working in a local emergency department which is where she continues to work weekly to maintain her clinical skills. Professor Kellett has also worked as a physician assistant in orthopedic spine surgery, where she managed patients preoperatively, postoperatively, and functioned as a first assist during surgeries. Her interests include critical care, oncology, emergency department crowding and patient flow, antibiotic stewardship, nutritional genomics, and sustainable and ethical food systems.
