Dr. Habdas earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physics at University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. After finishing postdoctoral fellowships at Memorial University of Newfoundland and at Emory University, he joined the Saint Joseph's University Department of Physics in 2004.
His primary area of research is the physics of soft condensed matter, particularly non-Newtonian liquids. His other research interests include fluid dynamics and the physics of granular materials.
