Engaging in life-long learning and teaching is both my vocation and passion. This is evident from my four advanced degrees and twenty-five years of teaching at the secondary and college levels. Currently I teach anatomy and physiology and holistic health modalities at Saint Joseph's. A highlight of my career is receiving the Stoudt Excellence in Teaching Award (SETA) during 2018-2019 academic year. In addition to teaching I also enjoy volunteering for College events such as the Scrub Run, open houses, camps and chairing the faculty governance committee. As to scholarly endeavors, I completed my dissertation at Penn State University in 2019. Associated with my dissertation work are a published abstract, a presentation at the "Science of Yoga Research Symposium," and a chapter in the New Directions for Adult and Continuing Education. In 2019 I received the President's Creative Work Award at Pennsylvania College Health Sciences for my chapter publication. Additionally, I co-authored and presented a case study on Chiari Malformation at the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society conference in Pittsburgh. In the future, I intend to continue to contribute to the field of education by teaching and publishing other aspects of my dissertation research.
