Paras Bhagat serves as the Assistant Vice President of Academic Finance at Saint Joseph’s University, where he provides strategic financial leadership in support of the University’s academic mission. Reporting to the Provost, Paras leads the development, analysis, and oversight of academic budgets, resource planning, and financial performance across all colleges, schools, and academic support units.
Since joining SJU, Paras has played a central role in several institutional initiatives, including faculty compensation planning, academic restructuring, program development and pricing strategy, and financial modeling for business units and academic programs. He also contributes to the alignment of academic priorities with long-term financial sustainability and capital planning.
Paras holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Saint Joseph’s University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA). His professional background spans higher education and multiple Fortune 500 companies, with deep expertise in finance, budgeting, managerial reporting and strategic planning.
