Lori DeWald is an educational and mental health professional with experience in academic and operational oversight of undergraduate psychology courses. Lori has over 15 years of practice in mental health and child and family services. Her extensive experience includes individual and group behavioral health counseling, conducting functional behavior assessments, completing intake evaluations, and developing behavior modification programs across various settings, including community mental health clinics, psychiatric hospitals, schools, homes, and community settings. Lori’s specialty is working with children and adolescent diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, trauma, and anxiety. Lori is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Psychology from Liberty University. During her program, Lori is hopeful that she will be able to conduct research on Autism Spectrum Disorder and brain development with the goal of identifying brain differences in this population. She loves teaching at Saint Joseph's and sparking interest in the field of psychology of every student.
