Dr. Kristen Zulkosky is a Professor and Director of the Center for Excellence in Practice at Saint Joseph's. She works at the College since 1996. She is the former Chair of the RN to BSN program at the College in the Division of Nursing. She has experience in the area of critical care nursing, administration, education, simulation, and research. She also earned a certificate in online learning from the SLOAN consortium and a Teaching with Simulation certificate from Penn State, Hershey.
Dr. Zulkosky’s research interest lies in the area of using simulation in nursing education. Her dissertation focused on using simulation in the classroom. She presented her research findings at both national and international conferences. In 2012-2013, she was the College Project Coordinator for the National Council State Boards of Nursing landmark, national, multi-site longitudinal study of simulation use in nursing education. She presented her experiences with the study at several international simulation conferences. She was also on a research team looking at clinical decision-making accuracy among the role in the simulation setting and presented at a psychology and NLN/STTI conference.
Dr. Zulkosky serves on several committees including Saint Joseph's Institutional Effectiveness, Faculty Governance, Middle States, and the LGH IRB.
