Richards obtained an MS in sport management from Slippery Rock University and her doctorate in health policy from USciences. She is nationally certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and the American Council on Exercise, (ACE), as a Master Trainer for Behavior Change in Practice, Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. She is also a certified American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Professional Rescuer Instructor, a YogaFit certified Instructor, a Usui Ryoho Master Reiki and a Mental Health First Aid Certified Instructor. A former college athlete and current marathon runner, Richards has professional experience in corporate, community and collegiate fitness, wellness and recreation.
