Parker Kent has been an occupational therapist for over 40 years and enjoys her role as mentor to both students and colleagues. Recently she has become more active as a writer.
Parker Kent has over 35 years of experience as an occupational therapist working with children and in mental health. Since 1990 She has been involved in occupational therapy education at all levels including associate to doctoral level and has supported students in completion of a wide range of doctoral and masters dissertations that have resulted in publications of articles and books. She has also been involved in working with AOTA as chair of the occupational therapy assistant program directors, and served on the Commission on Education, as well as on the Education Special Interest Section.
