Currently I teach Anatomy & Physiology and Human Biology at Saint Joseph's. In the past, I have taught laboratory in Microbiology. I am co-advisor to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, a member of the Faculty Governance Committee, an appointed member of Faculty Senate and a PA College Safety Officer.
In 2018, I earned a Doctor of Education degree from The Pennsylvania State University. My dissertation research involved how embodied learning among athletes led to changes in their individual and collective social identities. I am certified in Teaching with Simulation from the Hershey Medical Center. In 1991, I earned a Master of Science degree in biology from Millersville University. My research involved insect endocrinology and environmental microbiology. I have been teaching at Saint Joseph's since 2007 beginning as an adjunct and presently as a full-time faculty member.
I am currently a student at the Stevenson School of Ministry, an Advisory Board Member for New Choices, a career training program for people who have gone through recent transitions in their lives, and a member of The Mission and Justice Committee at St. James Episcopal Church in Lancaster.
