John C. Yi is a Professor in the Decision and System Sciences Department of the Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University. He teaches the core analytics classes in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Before joining SJU, he was on the faculty at the Lucas Graduate School of Business, San Jose State University, where he won the Decision Sciences professor of the year award, voted by the graduating seniors.
His research focuses on sales and marketing resource optimization, sales forecasting, and improving college-level teaching. He has over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and has won several awards for research. Prior to entering academia in 2006, Professor Yi forecasted both new and inline products, optimized sales and marketing resources, and improved business processes for Johnson&Johnson, Sanofi-Aventis, and GEC.

Dr. Yi’s research interests are in providing solutions to complex pharmaceutical and healthcare-focused business problems leveraging various advanced analytical methods including operations research, data mining, predictive analytics, and knowledge management.
