Dr. Vacca’s educational and professional backgrounds have centered on the mental health and well being of young children from birth to three years and their families. He earned a Ph.D. at Penn State University with a dual focus in Special Education and School Psychology. Dr. Vacca completed a two-year Post Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Division of Pediatrics. He practiced psychology for over 10 years in child and family services in suburban Maryland. Dr. Vacca has published numerous scholarly articles and reviews in the areas of pediatric development and assessment, autism spectrum disorder, and parenting children with severe forms of physical disabilities. Dr. Vacca is also the proud father of three sons.
