Dr. Sautter’s research and teaching at Saint Joseph's University integrates social sciences and health sciences. Her research examines social patterns in health outcomes and health care utilization among U.S. adults, military veterans, older adults in China, and people with advanced illness. Sautter teaches Introduction to Sociology, Principles of Sociology (for pre-med students), and Statistics & Experimental Design (for health psychology graduate students). She enjoys mentoring secondary analysis of survey data with social science minors, Honors students, and graduate students in health psychology and health policy. Sautter’s service to Saint Joseph's University includes College Council, Faculty Senate, General Education, and Alpha Phi Omega.
