Jarrett Hurms is a professor in the Decision & System Sciences for the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University. Currently, he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Data Visualization, Data Mining, Master Data Management, R Programming, and Business Statistics. Jarrett also serves as a Principal Consultant with Analytica Solutions, where he develops analytical solutions for small businesses and non-profits, focusing on areas like data visualization, statistical modeling, data quality management, and more. Additionally, Jarrett holds the role of Resident Statistician and Research Project Manager with the Institute of Clinical Bioethics at SJU, managing various public health research projects alongside a remarkable team of graduate and undergraduate students. Prior to this he has worked in leadership roles in analytics and innovation at some of the largest banks in the United States. His professional and academic expertise includes data visualization, data quality, enterprise data management, ethics in large-scale data management, emerging technologies, generative AI in banking and finance, applied predictive analytics, and process improvement. In his free time, Jarrett enjoys running, photography, playing with his dog, and attending analytics conferences. He holds an MS in Applied Mathematics from UNC Charlotte, an MS in Business Intelligence & Analytics from Saint Joseph’s University, and a BS in Economics and Mathematics from SJU.
