Jamie brings more than 20 years of experience in education, administration, and the arts to her role as Operations Manager for Prevention Academy at Saint Joseph's University. Jamie began her career in early childhood and secondary education, developing a strong foundation in youth development, communication, and program support. She later built an extensive career as an administrative and executive assistant, supporting organizational leadership, managing complex operations, and coordinating programs and initiatives with efficiency and attention to detail.
Her passion for working with young people extends beyond the classroom. Jamie has served as both a nanny and camp counselor, experiences that further strengthened her commitment to mentorship, relationship-building, and community engagement. A retired professional artist, Jamie also has a background in the performing arts, having appeared in musical productions and performed with several bands. Her creative experiences contribute to her collaborative approach, adaptability, and innovative problem-solving.
As Operations Manager, Jamie oversees the day-to-day operations of Prevention Academy, ensuring programs, partnerships, and organizational initiatives run smoothly while supporting the Academy's continued growth and impact. Outside of work, Jamie is an avid animal lover and proud pet parent to two rescued cats, Mama Cat and Arctic, whom she rescued from the streets. She also enjoys baking and bringing people together through her creativity in the kitchen.
