Caroline Heffernan serves as the Brand and Media Manager and Prevention Specialist at Prevention Academy, where she leads the organization's digital communications, social media strategy, and creative content development. She creates educational resources and branded materials that advance Prevention Academy's mission while ensuring messaging is compassionate, accurate, and grounded in the experiences of young people and the communities we serve.
Caroline earned her bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from Saint Joseph's University, where she developed a strong interest in prevention, health promotion, and adolescent well-being. She joined Prevention Academy as a social media intern before transitioning into her current role. In 2025, she expanded her responsibilities to include direct prevention education, facilitating classroom-based programming and building meaningful connections with students as a Prevention Specialist.
Combining her background in psychology with expertise in digital communications, Caroline is committed to making prevention education engaging, accessible, and relevant for today's youth. She believes effective prevention extends beyond the classroom by reaching young people through the platforms and spaces they use every day.
