Pedagogical Style

Most of my courses involve community-engaged learning. Through the support of the Faith/Justice Institute, we work with community partners in Philadelphia, Northern Ireland and in local jails or prisons. Every course includes collaboration, active learning and student-centered engagement. Students read carefully, think critically, and write creatively about issues of social justice and systemic change. We write, revise, rethink and reflect. From this process, we grow wonderful writing.
