Allyson Mullin is the vice president for human resources (HR). She has a background in retail and manufacturing and joined Saint Joseph’s University after spending over 10 years developing the HR department at Alvernia University as executive director.
When Mullin joined Alvernia in 2011 as associate director of human resources, HR was an outsourced function with ample opportunity for growth. Under Mullin’s leadership, the HR team became a valued and dependable part of the university community. Her work included embracing diverse and inclusive talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits assessments, systems implementations and project management.
Mullin has served on numerous committees such as staff council, salary and benefits and Middle States, and was a trusted advisor to senior leadership. Her strengths in team management, customer service, communication and leadership are integral parts of her success.
In addition to Mullin’s professional work with Alvernia University, she earned a BS in HR management from the university in 2019 and an MBA with a 4.0 GPA in 2021.
