Professor Yochim joins the Department of Physician Assistant at Saint Joseph’s University in 2024. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from the University of Rochester before exploring career options in both the medical field and academia. It was her athletic trainer’s encouragement that led her to the path of a Physician Assistant. She completed her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Philadelphia University, now known as Thomas Jefferson University, East Falls.
With over a decade of clinical experience in emergency medicine and neurosurgery, Professor Yochim has honed her skills in providing direct patient care across various settings. Her clinical expertise and passion for education converge in her role as a Clinical Assistant Professor, where she focuses on surgical and procedural techniques, ergonomic and lifestyle modifications, and the integration of these elements into effective patient care and training.
